Governance of Orissa in Oriya, Punishment to whosoever sabotages the Language

The sole purpose of the Oriya race to create a separate State of it’s own was to ensure that its official affairs would be managed in its mother tongue Oriya. Orissa official Language Act, 1954 had to declare that for all and any official purpose Oriya shall be the Language of the State of Orissa. The Act is not being honored. Bhasha Andolan, Orissa completed on April 12, 2017 one year of its unique, entirely non-violent, silent yet most speaking ‘BLACK FLAG MOVEMENT’ calling for codification of punishment to whosoever sabotages official use of Oriya. This special story is published in Orissa’s largest circulated newspaper ‘SAMBAD’.

Orissa Govt. Neatly Sabotages NEET Prospects of Oriya Students

Subhas Chandra Pattanayak
Originally written for the Oriya daily Suryaprava, this write-up exposes how the anti-Oriya Government of Orissa has sabotaged the NEET prospects of Oriya students. The State action would help only the children of the elite class of Orissa have medical education while denying the facility to the children of poor families that have no education in English medium. These families constitute 85% of Oriya population, who survive slow-starvation because of the heavily subsidized rice supplied to them at the rate of ₹1/- per Kg.
