ଓଡ଼ିଶା ପ୍ରଦେଶ ସୃଷ୍ଟିର ଏକମାତ୍ର ଉଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଥିଲା ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ଏହାର ପରିଚାଳନା । ଏଥିପାଇଁ ୧୯୫୪ ରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ପ୍ରଥମ ନିର୍ବାଚିତ ବିଧାନସଭା ପ୍ରଣୟନ ଓ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିଥିଲା ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଦାପ୍ତରିକ ଭାଷା ଆଇନ (Odisha Official Language Act) । ଏହି ଆଇନ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ ହୋଇପାରୁନଥିବାରୁ ୨୦୧୫ ରେ ଗଠିତ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀସ୍ତରୀୟ କମିଟିରେ ସଦସ୍ୟ ଥିବା ସୁଭାଷ ଚନ୍ଦ୍ର ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଆଇନ ସଂଶୋଧନ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଏହି ଆଇନର ସଶକ୍ତିକରଣ ପାଇଁ ନିଜର ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ସହ ଏକ ଚିଠାବିଧାନ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲେ । ତାହାକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣତଃ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକାରୀ କରାଯାଇଥିଲେ ଓଡ଼ିଆରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଚାଲିଥାନ୍ତା ଓ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଜାତି ତା'ର ଭାଷା ଅଧିକାର ପାଇଥାନ୍ତା । ତାହା କରାଗଲା ନାହିଁ । ଓଲଟି, ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନବୀନ ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ବିଧାନସଭାକୁ ବିଭ୍ରାନ୍ତ କରି ପ୍ରମାଦପୂର୍ଣ ସଂଶୋଧନ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଆଇନଟିକୁ ଅକର୍ମଣ୍ୟ କରିଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ଏହାର ପ୍ରତିକାର ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠା ହୋଇଛି ଭାଷା ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ, ଓଡ଼ିଶା । ଏହି ୱେବସାଇଟ ସେହି ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନର ନଭମଞ୍ଚ ।

A Story that tell the truth

It looks like a story, but is an eye-witnessed account. I have posted it in scribd.com for the Oriyas of the world to read with the aim that from this eye-witnessed account they may introspect their position in relation to their motherland, mother tongue and heritage, when Bhasha Andolan, Orissa, the world’s only movement of its kind has been fighting for governance of Orissa in Oriya.

ANTHEM OF BHASHA ANDOLAN

Subhas Chandra Pattanayak authored the Anthem of Bhasha Andolan, the first line of which – JANMANI JANMANI BHASHA JANANI, BHASHA JANANI – is practiced as the daily slogan of the movement. Nitidin, popular mainstream daily presented it to the general readers on the occasion of Mothers Day this year.
